Hong Kong, the Pearl of East and jewel of the Orient is famous for its gold and foreign exchange market, natural deep water harbour, commercial trade, toy manufacturing industry and film and service industries. Hong Kong is a popular tourist destination as well as being one of the world's major business centers. In addition to its impressive modernity, Hong Kong has many accessible beaches and natural sights for outdoor lovers. It has over 260 outlying islands but only a few are inhabited. This means that Hong Kong offers a great range of contrasts, with numerous islands that provide a tranquil alternative to its frenetic energy elsewhere. Hong Kong Island is an eclectic mix of modern skyscrapers, colonial buildings and traditional temples. There are many attractions in Hongkong. You can happily enjoy yourselves here!
- MacauMacau is well-known around the world because of prosperity and peace, fashion and history, oriental and western cultures.
A-Ma Temple is located in the Macao Special Administrative Region. A-Ma Temple, also known as Tianhou Temple, Juehai Temple, and Zhongjue Buddhist Temple, is dedicated to Ma Zu, a diviner who was from Putian, Fujian Province and lived in the Song Dynasty. As a child, Ma Zu showed a talent for predicting the future. She grew up to be nun and died at the age of 28. After her death Ma Zu's spirit helped seafaring merchants and fishermen dispel dangers on the roiling sea. Local fishermen in Fujian constructed the A-Ma Temple to commemorate her.
Ruins of St. Paul's: It is located in the Macao Special Administrative Region. It was built from 1582 to 1602 by the Jesuits. The cathedral was the largest Catholic Church in Asia at the time, and the royalty of Europe competed with each other to bestow upon the cathedral the best gifts. When Macau was not the main port for the Pearl River Delta, the cathedral's fortunes similarly ebbed, and it was destroyed by a fire during a typhoon in 1835.
Hong Kung Miu: This temple stands in the bustling market square between Rua das Estalagens and Rua de Cinco de Outubro. Built in 1750, and restored several times afterwards, it is dedicated to the God of War and Riches, Kwan Tai, who sits on the altar flanked by images of his son and his standard bearer. There are two side altars and a large area which the keeper and his family use as a living room. The table for offerings has an excellent carved front. The festival of Kwan Tai is celebrated on the 13th day of the fifth moon (in May) and 24th day of the sixth moon (in June).
